Welcome to September - 2026 Edition Of  SSVK  Newsletter

Our school celebrated Sri Krishna Janmashtami with great devotion, enthusiasm and joy on 4th September 2026. The celebration was organised to commemorate the birth of Lord Sri Krishna, who is revered as an incarnation of Lord Vishnu.

According to tradition, Sri Krishna was born on Ashtami Tithi under the Rohini Nakshatra. The celebration also highlighted the significance of the Sri Parabhava Nama Samvatsara. 

The programme aimed to introduce students to the rich heritage and cultural traditions of India and to convey the valuable teachings of Lord Krishna. The main objectives of the celebration were: 

To understand the significance of Sri Krishna Janmashtami. 

To learn about the values of truth, righteousness, courage and compassion. 

To introduce students to Indian culture and traditions.

To develop devotion, discipline, unity and respect among students.

To provide students with an opportunity to showcase their talents through cultural activities.

Students participated enthusiastically in Krishna-themed cultural programmes, devotional songs, dances, shloka recitation and fancy-dress activities. The atmosphere was filled with devotion and happiness. 

The teachings of the Bhagavad Gita, especially the importance of performing one's duty with sincerity and without worrying about the result, were also highlighted. 

The celebration concluded with a message that Sri Krishna's life and teachings continue to inspire us to follow the path of righteousness, love, wisdom and duty. 

Overall, the Sri Krishna Janmashtami celebration was a meaningful and memorable event that beautifully combined spirituality, culture, education and student participation. 

Our school celebrated Teachers’ Day on 5th September with great joy and enthusiasm. The celebration was organized by the students of Classes 5 to 10 to express their love, gratitude and respect towards their teachers. 

Students of each class conducted different creative and interesting activities for their teachers. Various fun games such as grouping games, dancing and guessing-the-word games were organized. 

One of the most interesting activities was the voice-guessing game, where the teachers of each class had to listen to a student’s voice and guess which student it was. This created a lot of excitement and laughter among both teachers and students. 

Students also prepared beautiful slogans, poems, riddles and creative forms related to Teachers’ Day. Some students asked interesting riddles to their teachers, while others presented their talents through different performances. 

The students of Classes 9 and 10 performed energetic dances to songs dedicated to teachers. Their performances added more excitement and entertainment to the celebration. The teachers appreciated the efforts and enthusiasm shown by the students. 

Teachers play a very important role in our lives. They not only teach us academic subjects but also guide, motivate and encourage us to become responsible and confident individuals. Their patience, support and valuable lessons help us grow into better human beings. 

The entire celebration was filled with laughter, happiness and wonderful memories. Both teachers and students enjoyed the programme immensely. The celebration ended with heartfelt gratitude and warm wishes to all the teachers for their constant guidance and support. 

“A good teacher inspires, guides and helps us discover our true potential.” 

On 11th September 2026, our institution organized a programme on the Chicago Parliament of Religions, in which Swami Vivekananda participated and delivered his historic speech in 1893. 

Sri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa blessed Swami Vivekananda and inspired him to dream of building a great and glorious India. Inspired by his own philosophical thoughts, Swami Vivekananda resolved to convey to the world that Indian culture could bring harmony and unity among all religions. He worked tirelessly to make Indian culture respected and appreciated throughout the world. 

The country in which we all live and celebrate today has been shaped by the glorious Indus Valley Civilization, which has left its own unique mark. Through this rich and glorious heritage, we are all proudly participating today in a great Indian culture that is admired by the entire world. 

One of the main reasons behind this glory is Swami Vivekananda. His world-famous speech at the Chicago Parliament of Religions won the admiration of the entire world. Even today, whenever we hear the word “India,” a lightning-like surge of pride and patriotism runs through our veins. 

At the beginning of the programme, the students presented the Kannada and English translations of the historic speech delivered by Swami Vivekananda. 

Later, Swami Shivakantananda Maharaj, despite setting aside hunger and thirst, explained to the students, one by one, the important ideas expressed in Swami Vivekananda’s historic speech, which he delivered for the preservation and glory of Indian culture. He beautifully explained how the words, “Sisters and Brothers of America,” carried within them the divine message of universal brotherhood. These words opened the pages of love, harmony, and mutual understanding in the hearts of people across the world. Through his inspiring and sweet words, he also explained to the students how India firmly established its unique and glorious place on the cultural map of the world through the message of Swami Vivekananda.

On 16.09.2026, National Hindi Day was celebrated in our school. India is a country of many languages, and several languages are still widely used across the nation. We happily use these languages in our day-to-day communication and, through them, showcase our rich Indian culture and heritage to the world. 

As the elders have said, “There is no human being without language.” Language is an important part of human life. Without language, communication would not be possible, and the world would not be able to progress. Language helps us express our thoughts, feelings, knowledge and culture and plays an important role in the development of society. 

Rashtriya Hindi Diwas is celebrated every year on 14th September to honour the Hindi language. Hindi is one of the major languages of India and helps people from different regions communicate with one another. This day reminds us to respect, promote and preserve our rich linguistic and cultural heritage. It also encourages students to learn and use Hindi with pride. 

The main purpose of celebrating Rashtriya Hindi Diwas in schools is to make students aware of the importance of the Hindi language. Hindi is one of the major languages of India. This celebration helps develop interest and respect for Hindi among students, encourages them to respect linguistic diversity, and introduces them to our country's unity and cultural heritage. On this day, students are encouraged to participate in speeches, poems, essays, songs, and various cultural programmes. 

The main reason for celebrating National Hindi Day in schools is to develop a sense of brotherhood among children towards different languages. Through this, our culture aims to instill the spirit of fraternity and unity among students. 

The various Indian languages have emerged like the roots, branches, and twigs of Sanskrit, which is known as the divine language. Even today, these diverse Indian languages continue to live in harmony, sharing their thoughts, feelings, and emotions with one another with mutual respect and joy. 

Recently, a foreign visitor came to India and stayed in Delhi for two days. During his stay, he listened to the Hindi language and was deeply impressed by it. At the end of the two days, he said, “I will set aside a small part of my daily earnings for India and visit the country every year to listen to and learn Hindi. I will also collect different forms and varieties of Indian languages and help these languages gain recognition and appreciation across the world.” 

What a wonderful thought about language! These words are a testimony to the fact that a language can never truly perish as long as people continue to love, learn, speak, and preserve it. 

“The renowned Kannada writer Chidananda Murthy, while explaining the importance of language, said" 

“We are all children of Bharat Mata. Therefore, why should we have hatred or excessive pride towards our respective languages? If there were no languages in our country, we would all be living like beings from another planet, without communicating with one another.” 

Therefore, let us develop, preserve and respect our languages. 

“Vakratunda Mahakaya, Koti Surya Samaprabha, Nirvighnam Kurume Deva Sarva Karyeshu Sarvada.” 

As every year, this year too, on 16th ‎September ‎2026 Ganesha Chaturthi was celebrated with great joy and enthusiasm in our school. On the fourth day of the bright fortnight of Bhadrapada, we worship Lord Ganesha with devotion and observe the festival with religious fervour. The purpose of celebrating Ganesha Chaturthi is to seek the blessings of Lord Ganesha to remove all obstacles and difficulties from our daily lives and to lead us towards prosperity, success, and a harmonious life. 

“Vakratunda Mahakaya, Koti Surya Samaprabha, Nirvighnam Kurume Deva Sarva Karyeshu Sarvada.”

The senior Swamiji of our institution installed the idol of Lord Ganesha and performed the puja with great devotion and reverence. In the presence of the students, Swamiji successfully conducted the special puja, seeking the blessings of Lord Ganesha for the welfare and prosperity of the institution and praying for the students to be blessed with knowledge, wisdom, and success. 

Festival celebrated to honour Lord Ganesha, the remover of obstacles and the god of wisdom and knowledge. The festival reminds us to begin every good work with devotion and seek the blessings of Lord Ganesha for success. 

Lord Ganesha is also considered a symbol of wisdom, prosperity, and good fortune. On this auspicious day, devotees perform special prayers and seek His blessings for peace, happiness, knowledge, and the well-being of everyone. The celebration also teaches us the values of devotion, unity, discipline, and harmony. 

This festival, which continues to be celebrated with great enthusiasm in Maharashtra even today, was popularised as a public celebration by Bal Gangadhar Tilak with the aim of fostering unity and a sense of brotherhood among people. He encouraged people to come together, worship Lord Ganesha, and offer prayers, thereby making the festival a means of bringing society together. 

Devotees worship Lord Ganesha according to their convenience and later immerse the Ganesha idol. Likewise, Ganesha Visarjan was also performed in our institution. 

Overall, the programme was a grand success. 

Impotence of street play 

1)To create social awareness – Street plays help create awareness among people about important issues such as environmental protection, cleanliness, education, and health. 

2)To enhance students’ self-confidence – They encourage students to speak confidently in front of the public and help reduce stage fear. 

3)To develop communication skills – Students learn to speak clearly and express their thoughts and emotions effectively. 

4)To develop teamwork – Students learn to work together and develop a sense of cooperation and team spirit. 

5)To enhance creativity – Students develop their abilities in acting, dialogue, and storytelling. 

6)To convey messages easily – Through street plays, messages can be effectively communicated to people in an entertaining way. 

Thus, it would not be an exaggeration to say that street plays have played a significant role in bringing about a positive change in the lives of people. 

Project Month Exhibition was held on 19th September 2026, Students exhibited their work which was done during the Project Month.

Project Month Exhibition was organised at Sri Sarada Devi Vidya Kendra, Shivanahalli, as a platform for students to present their learning through models, displays, demonstrations and collaborative activities. The exhibition provided students with an opportunity to connect classroom concepts with practical situations and to communicate their ideas with confidence. 

Highlights of the Exhibition 

The exhibition displayed a wide range of student-created projects and learning materials. The photographs show students presenting working models, participating in group discussions, explaining problem-solving activities and displaying creative work. The exhibits included models connected with the environment, roads and farming, language and cultural learning, art and craft, and other activity-based learning experiences. 

Students were actively involved in explaining their exhibits to visitors and peers. The exhibition atmosphere encouraged questioning, discussion and peer learning. Group activities also gave students an opportunity to listen to one another, express ideas and learn through cooperation. 

Student Participation 

Students took responsibility for preparing the exhibits, arranging the display area, explaining the purpose of their projects and interacting with visitors. The photographs also document students working together in circles and activity spaces, demonstrating that the event was not limited to displaying finished products but also included collaborative learning. 

Learning Outcomes

Conclusion

The Project Month Exhibition provided a meaningful learning experience for students and created a lively environment for sharing ideas. The event brought together learning, creativity, teamwork and communication. Overall, the exhibition was a successful platform for students to demonstrate their understanding through practical and creative work.
