Welcome to December Edition of SSVK Newsletter

As part of CBSE Curriculum,  FA 3 Activities were given to all children to assess their creative ideas to present the assigned activities. These activities were conducted during the 2nd week of December,  2022. 

To mark the birth anniversary of legendary Indian Mathematician,  Srinivasa Ramanujan, National Mathematics Day was celebrated in school on 22nd December, 2022. Classes from 5th to 8th participated and prepared games, puzzles, and posters. Each class was given a classroom to display, charts, posters and games. Our Swami Vishnumayanandaji and Swami Mangalanathanandaji interacted with children by asking thought-provoking questions.

The 170th Birthday of Holy Mother Sri Sarada Devi was celebrated on 16th December,  2022 in our school. Homa, Bhajan, followed by Prasadam distribution, were organized to mark the auspicious occasion. Swami Vishnumayanandaji and Swami Mangalanathanandaji and Swami Arhanandaji conducted the Homa and the Bhajan Team sang beautiful songs. 

Students of classes 7 and 8 participated in 6th Karnataka, Butterfly Bee Awareness Week, organized by Karnataka Forest Department,  on 3rd December 2022. Our students participated in Nature Walk, Planting Saplings, and in Quiz Competitions.  Master Amith of 7, bagged 3rd prize in Quiz. Children also prepared colorful posters of different kinds of butterflies for display.

Annual Sports Day was conducted in school on 23rd and 24th of December,  2023. Our beloved Swami Vishnumayanandaji and Swami Mangalanathanandaji along with other revered Swamijis from Belur Mutt inaugurated the event . It started with a March past and lighting the flame or torch to symbolize the spirit of sports.

On the 23rd, Karate Competition, Athletics, some team games were held. Children enthusiastically participated and won several games . 

On 24th, along with the continuation of the sports events, slow cycling and cross country running race were organized.  

The winners were given prizes and certificates.

ಡಿಸೆಂಬರ್ 29 ರಂದು 'ಯುಗದ ಕವಿ, ಜಗದ ಕವಿ' ಎಂದು  ಪ್ರಸಿದ್ಧರಾದ, ಮೊದಲ ಜ್ಞಾನಪೀಠ  ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿ  ಪುರಸ್ಕೃತ, ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರಕವಿ ಕುವೆಂಪುರವರ 119ನೇ ಜನ್ಮದಿನೋತ್ಸವವನ್ನು  ನಮ್ಮ ಶಾಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ  ಆಚರಿಸಲಾಯಿತು.ಈ  ದಿನವನ್ನು "ವಿಶ್ವ ಮಾನವ ದಿನ" ಎಂದು ಆಚರಿಸಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಶಾಲೆಯ ಶಿಕ್ಷಕರು ಕುವೆಂಪು ರವರ ಜೀವನ, ಕೃತಿ - ಕಾವ್ಯಗಳ ಸಂಕ್ಷಿಪ್ತ ಮಾಹಿಯನ್ನು ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೆ  ನೀಡಿದರು.ಸುಶ್ರಾವ್ಯವಾದ  ರೈತಗೀತೆಯೊಂದಿಗೆ  ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು  ಮುಕ್ತಾಯಗೊಳಿಸಲಾಯಿತು.
