A Day in the Market – Young Entrepreneurs in Action!
As a part of the Social Science curriculum, an engaging “Market Scene Activity” was conducted for Grade 7A and 7B. The objective was to provide students with a practical understanding of marketing concepts, types of markets, the role of buyers and sellers, and the importance of goods and services in daily life.
Students participated enthusiastically by setting up stalls, displaying products, interacting with their peers as customers, and applying basic marketing skills such as advertisement, pricing and negotiation. The activity created a lively marketplace atmosphere within the school premises, making the learning process fun and experiential.
This hands-on activity not only enhanced their knowledge of the chapter but also helped build confidence, communication, teamwork, and decision-making skills among students.
Overall, the “Market Scene Activity” proved to be a highly enjoyable and educational experience for all!
Spiritual Blessings from Swami Jyotirupanandaji
We were blessed with the gracious presence of Swami Jyotirupanandaji, a senior monk of the Ramakrishna Order and the former Head of the Vedanta Centre, Moscow, Russia. At the remarkable age of 94, Swamiji visited our centre and inspired everyone with his spiritual wisdom and simplicity.
We express our heartfelt gratitude to Swamiji for his visit and pray for his good health and long life.
A Creative Milestone: Art Room Inaugurated
The Art Room of Sri Sarada Devi Vidya Kendra, Ramakrishna Mission, Shivanahalli, was inaugurated with great enthusiasm and devotion on Saturday, December 6th at 9:30 AM in the Primary Block. The programme was held with the blessings of Swami Vishnumayanandaji, Swami Mahavakyanandaji, and Swami Shivakanthanandaji.
The event was further graced by the presence of Swami Prahlad Maharaj, a revered monk of the Ramakrishna Order, whose visit added spiritual significance to the occasion.
The ceremony was honoured by the Chief Guest, Mrs. Maya Ramaswami, who inaugurated the newly established Art Room. She appreciated the school’s initiative in creating a dedicated space to nurture creativity, imagination, and artistic talent among students.
The programme concluded with heartfelt gratitude to the revered Swamijis, the Chief Guest, and all those who contributed to the successful establishment of the Art Room.
Proud Moment: Selection for Prestigious AGMNC Program
We are very glad to announce that Ananya K of Class 8 A has successfully cleared the selection test and has been chosen for the prestigious International Math Boot Camp under the program AGMNC. She is one among the top 100 students selected as per the list published on the official website.
This is indeed a proud and joyful moment for our school. A total of four girls from our institution appeared for the entrance test, and Ananya’s remarkable achievement stands as an inspiration to all.
We congratulate her on this outstanding accomplishment and wish her continued success in her mathematical journey.
Celebration of Holy Mother Sri Sarada Devi Jayanti
Holy Mother Sri Sarada Devi Jayanti was celebrated with great devotion and spiritual fervour in our school. The celebration witnessed active participation from students of Nursery to Grade 10, along with teachers, volunteers, and members of the management.
The programme began with a sacred Homa, which was conducted by Arhahanandaji, Swami Mahavakyanandaji, and Swami Shivakanthanandaji. The holy atmosphere was further enriched by the gracious presence of Swami Vishnumayanandaji, who also participated in the rituals and blessed the gathering.
Following the Homa, soulful Bhajans were rendered by volunteers and students, filling the campus with devotion and serenity. The students participated with deep reverence, reflecting their understanding of the life and teachings of Holy Mother Sri Sarada Devi.
As a mark of respect and devotion, all the students offered flowers at the photo of Holy Mother Sri Sarada Devi (Sarada Maa) and sought her divine blessings. The celebration concluded on a peaceful and spiritually uplifting note, leaving a lasting impression on everyone present.
The Jayanti celebration served as a meaningful occasion for students to imbibe values of purity, compassion, and service as exemplified by Holy Mother Sri Sarada Devi.
A VISIT TO GRAMA PANCHAYAT
Students of classes 6A and 6B visited Raghihalli Grama Panchayat on December 10 as part of their Social Science chapter, Grass Root of Democracy Local Level: Rural Area.
As part of the Panchayat awareness programme students and teachers took an oath on gender equality.
The students asked questions regarding the various services provided by the Panchayat.
Panchayat Development Officer(PDO), Anand Eeshwar actively engaged the students.
Village Rehabilitation Worker(VRW), Karthik Sir explained about the various services provided for the differently abled and senior citizens.
Students understood the importance of Grama Panchayat, how it works, and how it helps the local community to develop. It was entirely a fruitful experience for the students.
“Health: The Ultimate Treasure” – Collage-Making Activity
Class 8 – Science Activity
On 4th December, a creative and engaging collage-making activity was conducted for the students of Class 8 A and B as part of their Science chapter, “Health: The Ultimate Treasure.” The activity aimed to help students understand the importance of maintaining good health through balanced diet, hygiene, exercise, and mental well-being.
Students enthusiastically participated and showcased their creativity by preparing thoughtful collages that highlighted key health concepts. They used pictures, charts, and short messages to illustrate healthy lifestyle habits and the significance of overall well-being.
The activity not only strengthened their understanding of the chapter but also encouraged teamwork, visual learning, and awareness about adopting healthy practices in daily life.
Empowering Young Minds on Health and Hygiene
A health awareness session was conducted at Sri Sarada Devi Vidya Kendra on 13th December 2025 as part of the Science chapter “Health: The Ultimate Treasure.” The session was led by Ms. Lathamani, a Community Resource Person and a nurse by profession, currently working at the Government Hospital, Kumaraswamy Layout.
Ms. Lathamani visited the school as a resource person and interacted with the students in an informative and engaging manner. She created awareness about vaccination, explaining its importance and the age-wise vaccination schedule to be followed for maintaining good health.
She also introduced the topic of antibiotics, explaining their proper use and highlighting the precautions and harmful consequences of taking unmonitored antibiotics. Further, she educated the students on basic first aid, good touch and bad touch, and menstrual hygiene, stressing the importance of personal safety, hygiene, and health awareness.
In addition, Ms. Lathamani created awareness about the spread of mosquito-borne diseases such as dengue and malaria, explaining how these diseases spread and the preventive measures that can be taken to avoid them.
To make the session more interactive and effective, role-play activities were conducted by the students on the above topics. Ms. Lathamani also contributed to the school by providing tablets, ORS, and ointments, which were added to the school’s first aid box.
The session was highly informative and beneficial. Students actively participated and gained valuable knowledge about health, hygiene, safety, and disease prevention. The programme successfully reinforced the importance of healthy practices among young learners.

Based learning month in our school.
On 22nd December, revered Swamijis Swami Vishnumayanandaji, Swami Shivakantanandaji, Swami Mahavakyanandaji, Swami Mahavedeshanandaji inaugurated the project month which will last till January 17, and showered their blessings.
This includes classes from 3 to 8 with specific themes. The theme for classes 3-5 is “My Village” and for classes 6-8 is “ Our Nature”.
The project - based learning approach focuses on integrated learning where students learn various subjects together and develop their skills.
Flights of Imagination: A Student’s Artistic Triumph
We are proud to share that Latha Bai R, a Grade 10 student of our school, had her painting selected for display at the prestigious Bangalore International Centre (BIC).
Her artwork was exhibited under “Flights of Imagination” as part of Young Birders’ Month (YBM) 2025, during the Feather Fest event held on 22nd and 23rd November 2025.
The exhibition was organized with the objective of encouraging creativity among students and fostering a deeper connection with nature through birds and art.
Hands-on Learning through Agri Lab –
A Step Towards Sustainable Education
Team Maadoo has successfully established an Agri Lab in our school with the aim of providing practical agricultural knowledge to students. This initiative mainly involved the students of Grade 7 A and 7 B, who actively participated in planting a variety of plants and learning basic cultivation practices.
At the beginning of the programme, the Maadoo team introduced various agricultural tools to the students and explained their uses in farming. This session helped students understand traditional as well as basic modern farming techniques.
Later, a portion of land was allotted to the students for cultivation. The students were divided into groups, and each group was given responsibility for preparing the land, planting saplings, and taking care of the crops. A local village farmer supported and guided the students throughout the cultivation process by sharing his practical experience and methods.
The students enthusiastically planted a variety of plants, learning about soil preparation, sowing, watering, and plant care. This hands-on experience helped them connect classroom learning with real-life agricultural practices.
An Agri Lab Exhibition was organized on 27th December 2025, where students displayed their work and explained the process of cultivation to visitors. The exhibition highlighted the importance of agriculture, teamwork, and sustainable living.
ಕನ್ನಡ ಸಾಹಿತ್ಯದ ಧೃವತಾರೆ ಕುವೆಂಪು : ಜನ್ಮದಿನಾಚರಣೆ:
ಇಂದು ನಮ್ಮ ಶಾಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರಕವಿ ಕುವೆಂಪು ಅವರ 122ನೇ ಜನ್ಮದಿನವನ್ನು ಅತ್ಯಂತ ಉತ್ಸಾಹ ಹಾಗೂ ಗೌರವದಿಂದ ಆಚರಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ಈ ಕಾಯಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ 1ರಿಂದ 10ನೇ ತರಗತಿಯವರೆಗೆ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ವಿಧ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಿದರು.
ಕಾಯಕ್ರಮವು ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನೆಯಾಗಿ “ವೀರ ಸನ್ಯಾಸಿ” ಗೀತೆಯನ್ನು ಗಾಯನ ಮಾಡುವ ಮೂಲಕ ಶುಭಾರಂಭವಾಯಿತು. ನಂತರ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರಕವಿ ಕುವೆಂಪು ಅವರ ಭಾವಚಿತ್ರಕೆ ಪುಷ್ಪನಮನ ಸಲ್ಲಿ ಸಲಾಯಿತು.
ಈ ಸಂದಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಕುವೆಂಪು ಅವರು ರಚಿಸಿದ ಪ್ರಮುಖ ಪುಸ್ತಕಗಳನ್ನು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳ ವೀಕ್ಷಣೆಗೆ ಪ್ರದರ್ಶಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ಇದರಿಂದ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಅವರ ಸಾಹಿತ್ಯದ ವೈವಿಧ್ಯತೆ ಮತ್ತು ಮಹತ್ವವನ್ನು ಅರಿಯುವ ಅವಕಾಶ ಪಡೆದರು. ಜೊತೆಗೆ ಕುವೆಂಪು ಅವರ ಜೀವನ, ಸಾಹಿತ್ಯ ಸೇವೆ ಹಾಗೂ “ವಿಶ್ವಮಾನವ” ಸಂದೇಶದ ಮಹತ್ವವನ್ನು ವಿವರಿಸಲಾಯಿತು.
ಈ ಕಾಯಕ್ರಮವು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಕನ್ನಡ ಸಾಹಿತ್ಯದ ಮೆಚುಗೆ, ಸಾಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಕ ಮೌಲ್ಯಗಳು ಹಾಗೂ ಮಾನವೀಯ ಚಿಂತನೆಗಳನ್ನು ಬೆಳೆಸುವಲ್ಲಿ ಸಹಕಾರಿಯಾಯಿತು. ಕಾಯಕ್ರಮದ ಅಂತ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಕುವೆಂಪು ಅವರ ಆದರ್ಶಗಳನ್ನು ಜೀವನದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಳವಡಿಸಿಕೊಳುವ ಸಂಕಲ್ಪವನ್ನು ಎಲ್ಲರೂ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಪಡಿಸಿದರು.
