In the Footsteps of the Guru - A Special Address on Guru Purnima.
ಗುರುವೇ ಗತಿಯು - ಗುರುಪೌರ್ಣಮೆಯ ವಿಶೇಷ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮ.
On the auspicious occasion of Guru Purnima, a special assembly was conducted in the Girls' Block assembly area of our school. The day was marked by reverence and gratitude towards our teachers, who play pivotal roles in shaping students' lives.
Our respected Principal, Raanu Ma'am, delivered an inspiring and meaningful message to the students, emphasizing the importance of a Guru (teacher) in one's life. She highlighted how teachers serve as guiding lights who nurture not only knowledge but also values, discipline, and character in their students.
To enrich the moment, she recited a profound doha (couplet) that encapsulates the essence of a Guru's significance:
"Guru Gobind Dou Khade, Kaake Laagu Paay? Balihari Guru Aapne, Govind Diyo Batay."
(Meaning: When both God and Guru are standing together, whose feet should one touch first? I bow to the Guru, for it is through him that I found God.)
Her message left a lasting impact on the students and reminded everyone of the deep respect and gratitude we owe to our teachers. The assembly concluded with students offering their heartfelt thanks to all Gurus for their dedication and selfless service.
